Buyers have pushed the major indices to the upside ahead of the key FOMC interest rate decision later this afternoon. The gains are led by the Dow industrial average which is up around 0.7%.

- NASDAQ index up 57 points or 0.49% at 11481.22
- Russell 2000 up 10.5 points or 0.59% at 1798.04

- 10 year 3.537%, -3.5 basis point
