Become Henry of Skalitz again in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which is supposed to be released later this year!

Jesus Christ be Praised! After teasing it for a few days, Warhorse Studios officially revealed their next title: Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, a sequel to their hit RPG. The game will be the Czech studio’s second title, and will pick up from where the first part left off – with more adventures and more guns.

The first Kingdom Come Deliverance was released in 2018 by Warhorse Studio and Deep Silver as the former’s first title. Since then, the developers were hard at work to create a game of their dreams – the previous installment was supposed to be everything Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is, but Warhorse couldn’t go as big as they wanted to due to limitations in resources and their inexperience. However, they can go all out with this one as KCD did incredibly well.

Henry of Skalitz returns to medieval Bohemia to fight against the evil Hungarians (so our writer Bence, basically) and against his own countrymen in the civil war. The story takes place in 1403, just after the first game ended. However, the developers ensured everyone that you don’t have to play the first game to pick up the second one – although everyone should, as KCD is an incredible RPG.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an even more detailed role-playing game than the first one, with our choices being even more important than before. The world reacts to our actions yet again but with more realism, and the player will have more influence over Henry – you can make him a knight in shining armor or a scoundrel that knows no honor.

While the first game’s unique fighting system took some time to get used to and some hours to master, after you got the rhythm of the swordfighting, it was a rather enjoyable experience. The developers promised that KCD2’s encounters will be much more polished. The roster of available weapons is also bigger, with some basic firearms and crossbows available, as well as more melee weapons to master, as shown by the axe trick Henry does in the reveal trailer.

The main hub of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be Kutná Hora or Kuttenberg, one of the most important cities of Czechia and the center of Bohemia. Kuttenberg was notably missing from the first game, and while players were asking for it in the DLC’s, Warhorse Studios was saving it for the second game. The game and story should also be twice as big as the first game, which was already massive for a first project.

While we don’t know an exact release date for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, we know that the game should be coming in 2024 for PC, XBOX Series X/S and PlayStation 5. We can’t wait for the next installment of this unique RPG – check back later for more info!
