Ted Lasso has arrived in FIFA 23 alongside his AFC Richmond squad.
EA Sports have been known to keep the FIFA series serious, with limited customization options for years until the most recent addition of Volta. However, they’re switching it up this year, with fictional team AFC Richmond from Apple TV’s show Ted Lasso being a playable team in FIFA 23.
Fans will be able to authentically take control of their AFC Richmond across multiple game modes including Career Mode, Kickoff, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons. Several AFC Richmond items, including kits, tifos, Manager items, and other content, will also be available to unlock across FIFA Ultimate Team and Pro Clubs where applicable.

The AFC Richmond team will be available in the “Rest of World” category, with all of the fan’s favorite players, such as Roy Kent and Sam Obisanya, available in the squad.

I’m not sure this is going to help dispel the CGI rumors but f*** it, totally worth it,” said Emmy Award-winner Brett Goldstein, who plays AFC Richmond player Roy Kent. “I look forward to beating my nephew in a game with me as Roy Kent and him as Jamie Tartt. He’s gonna be furious.”
