VCT 2023 Teams Officially Announced

VALORANT was created to be one of the most competitive games in the world. Riot Games envisioned this from the start and have committed to making sure its competitive scene could grow naturally. Now, after a couple of years, the franchising of the game has started and the initial teams from each region decided. Here are the 30 VCT 2023 Teams that are officially partnered to start off franchising.

For the past few days there were leaks and rumors coming from a few individuals. The one who was not only correct but most on it was George Geddes of DotEsports. He was the one to break the news that major organizations like TSM, G2 and OpTic would not be accepted into the first year of VCT. With that, here is who for each region.

  8. MIBR
  9. NRG
  10. Sentinels

EMEA

  1. BBL Esports
  2. Fnatic
  3. FUT Esports
  4. Giants
  5. Karmine Corp
  6. KOI
  7. NAVI
  8. Team Heretics
  9. Team Liquid
  10. Team Vitality

Pacific

  1. Detonation Gaming
  2. DRX
  3. Gen.G
  4. Global Esports
  5. Paper Rex
  6. Rex Regum Qeon
  7. T1
  8. Talon Esports
  9. Team Secret
  10. Zeta Division

For those teams that did not make it, there will be the chance that they can play their way in. There will be one new team added to each region for the next few years. It is certainly not an easy round and the Tier 2 scene will have some pretty intense games, but the path to being at the top is certainly there for the taking.
