CAPCOM’s Resident Evil co-opt title, Re:Verse, will begin its open beta next month.
Re:Verse is Capcom’s answer to players’ calls for a co-op mode. According to its official description, players “can test [their] skills against other players in four to six-person deathmatch battles. Play as beloved characters from the Resident Evil series and turn the tides of battle with powerful bioweapons.”

Resident Evil Re:Verse’s Beta will open on April 8 at 2 a.m. EST. It will officially debut on previous-generation consoles such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. Those looking to take part on the PlayStation 5 will be able to do so via backwards compatibility. However, players will need a valid Capcom ID linked to their chosen console in order to access the software.
According to the developers, players can expect the be tasked with testing the game’s system, balance among players, and server strength. They should be aware that maintenance to the game can happen at any time for any reason in order to apply fixes, test new circumstances and implement other necessary changes.
Those who were fortunate enough to take part in the closed beta will need to re-download the software for the open counterpart.
Re:Verse is included for free for any user who purchased Resident Evil Village.
