Ukraine’s Government Criticizes Vega C Investigation

Ukraine’s government has recently criticized the investigation into the Vega C rocket launch failure. The Vega C rocket was launched on July 10th, 2020, from the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana. The rocket was carrying two Earth observation satellites, the SEOSAT-Ingenio and the TARANIS, for the European Space Agency (ESA).

Unfortunately, the launch failed and the rocket exploded shortly after takeoff. The cause of the failure is still unknown, but an investigation has been launched by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the ESA to determine what went wrong.

Ukraine’s government has now expressed its dissatisfaction with the investigation. They have accused the ASI and the ESA of not taking the investigation seriously enough and of not involving Ukrainian experts in the investigation. Ukraine’s government believes that Ukrainian experts should be involved in the investigation, as Ukraine is a major contributor to the Vega C program.

The Ukrainian government has also accused the ASI and the ESA of not being transparent about the investigation. They believe that the investigation should be open and transparent, so that all stakeholders can understand what happened and why.

The Ukrainian government has also expressed concern about the financial implications of the failed launch. They believe that Ukraine should not be held responsible for any financial losses incurred by the failure of the Vega C launch.

It is clear that Ukraine’s government is not happy with how the investigation into the Vega C launch failure is being handled. They believe that Ukraine should be involved in the investigation and that it should be open and transparent. They also believe that Ukraine should not be held responsible for any financial losses resulting from the failure.

Only time will tell if Ukraine’s government will get its way and be involved in the investigation. Until then, it is important that all stakeholders remain patient and allow the ASI and the ESA to continue their investigation into what went wrong with the Vega C launch.
